Adult Complex Thyroid/Parathyroid Surgery FPD Exam Administration Moving to Every Other Year

Following the April 2027 administration of the Focused Practice Designation (FPD) Examination in Adult Complex Thyroid/Parathyroid Surgery (ACTPS), the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS) and the American Board of Surgery (ABS) will change the ACTPS FPD Exam schedule from annually to every other year.

The next ACTPS FPD Exam after 2027 will be administered in spring 2029 and every two years thereafter.
